Here is an ideal for a scooter for the rider that does not want the size of their engine to restrict their riding to city only. Pick it up for $3,800 before september!!!
For Sale: $4,400 Piaggio BV500 4,307 miles as of last week (miles will inevitably go up before bike is purchased) 2007 model, purchased brand NEW in 2008. Scooter was not registered or ridden until 2008. 16" Front Tire, 14" Rear Tires-currently Pirelli tires on both. Garage Kept. Located in Liberty, NY (For NYC residents I can bring it to Goshen, NY for delivery. Goshen is 45 minutes closer to the City) I have title in hand. Bike is owned free and clear. Cash or Certified check (buyer will accompany me to bank to deposit before I deliver title and bike) Here's a link to Piaggios specs on the current BV500 modelExtras Include:Heated Grips (Hot Grips Brand) Extra 12V outlet installed in glove box for charging cell phone or GPS (A second 12V outlet is located under the seat) Full Windscreen.Touring windscreen no longer included. stebel hornTop Case-take it or leave it….see pictures below. This is the most reliable scooter I have ever owned. Fantastic handling at high and low speeds. I find the seat very comfortable compared to my GTS. Ideal for a scooter rider that does not want the size of their engine to dictate where they ride. 90% of the miles are from highway use or long country roads with very little stop and go riding. Speeds varying between 45 and 80 mph…. I have ridden this scooter on paved, unpaved roads and I also took it out to Tennessee Last year to do the Tail of the Dragon and roads in the Smokey Mountain Park. It has a center stand and a kick stand and you don’t have to open the seat to fill up the gas tank. I've filled the gas up while never getting off the scooter. The only issue I have ever had with it, is the fuel pump hose which was replaced and recalled by Piaggio. They did not design it to handle the amounts of ethanol we have in our fuel here in the US. I replaced the hose myself and have detailed photo documentation. I also have the recall letter for the future owner should they want to have it done by a certified Piaggio service center. (I recommend Metro Scooters in Northvale, NJ) I won't charge extra for the dead bugs. This is a buddy of mine who borrowed my scooter for a day. It's great for larger riders (my buddy pictured below) or 140lb females like myself! *edit* Here is a picture of the heated grips and the switch that turns them on and off. Left is low, right is high and middle toggle is off. The grips and the 12v are wired so if you are absent minded ( like me) and forget to turn them off or unplug your accessory they WILL NOT continue to drain your battery while the scooter is off. Please don't mind the dust....I just pulled it out of the Garage and hit it with a hose before taking these pics and then taking it for a ride.

Are you riding a motorcycle on the freeway instead? Have you given up trying to sell your amazing Rat Vespa?
Miss you

Miss you I am selling it because it was collecting dust and I own too many motorcycles and scooters now. I have too much blood invested in my "rat" vespa to sell it and the low ball offers were pissing me off so I pulled it off the market. I am not *as* emotionally attached to the BV...as I am to the GTS. I love all of my scooters and it pains me to sell any of them but this was the one with the most amount of dust on it and since there's not a damn thing wrong with it, I think that is some kind of crime to just let it sit there. It's probably the most reliable vehicle on two wheels I have ever owned. Out of my herd, this is the machine I would jump on and ride cross county with out a second thought.

STILL FOR SALE...
Though I should mention even though it's a 2007 It did not leave the show room floor until 2008, it has always been garage kept, and it was mostly rode in 2009, then I got into motorcycles and it's back in the garage. There's a good chance it has less use and miles on it than any 09 BV500 you might see on the market today.

I would love to as well! But only if you offered a free kitten with it! JOKING! It's beautiful Jess, have you tried Craigslist as well? I was at a conference today and a bunch of people were asking about my scooter. How much and mileage that sort of thing. I also mentioned that I ride 12 months (unless the roads are a mess) and they were kind of surprised. I try to get people to convert every day or at least add another option to their daily commute. GOOD LUCK!

Grrr I want that so bad.. I was unemployed most of the summer (good timing) and this monday I start another contract at the place I have worked for the past 2 years. Summer off is good. Money situation is bad. Would think about trading my BV and Elite, but the BV is not starting and I need to get some money before I can bring it in to be fixed. Crap.

I'm selling it at a very fair price for two reasons, one it's just sitting and not getting the attention it deserves, and two because there's a dirt bike I'm trying to buy for an event in September. It's the perfect size bike. The guy selling it has a buyer coming in from Canada to pick it up in September so I have until then (the next week basically) to come up with $3,800....

Wow, Catskill, that is such a beautiful scooter. If I still lived in New Paltz, I'd be giving it some serious thought. I've only been riding my 50cc since April, and I'm already wishing I had something more powerful so I could head out on our country highways. Your bike looks perfect.
Good luck finding a buyer!

I thought of your scooter today when I went down to visit family in Pennsy. I had to take my 4 wheels because I was under the gun time-wise. I would normally have taken my scooter but I needed to do the trip in 2 hours or less (both ways!). I was thinking....hmmm if I had that 500 I could do that EASILY!

Wish I had the room for it.......won't fit in a typical 2-car garage that already has my scoot, a motorcycle & trike. Good luck - it's a great price.
